»MVG – the towbar« stands for premium products designed and made in Europe. Our products are certified in line with ISO 9001* and IATF 16949 (*in this case the first manufacturer of towbar and electrical kits in Germany). In our plant locations process-parallel quality controls monitor our state-of-the art manufacturing technology and, in this way, guarantee first-rate product quality for towbars and electrical kits in original equipment quality for passenger cars, off-road and utility vehicles.

Modern technology and quality controls

for high-class products designed and made in Europe

In the development and construction of our towbars we rely on state-of-the-art technology and use, for example, CAD and FEM, to achieve a sophisticated yet low- profile design. This is combined with a high degree of fitting accuracy and easy assembly, which makes the installation on the vehicle quick and easy. Before going into serial production our towbars go through extensive safety checks in the test centre. We check the fatigue strength of our towbars on the basis of the European directives 94/20/EG, ECE R55 or the Carlos TC (Car Loading Standard Trailer Coupling) screening process.

This way, MVG towbars are tested for maximum tow load capacities and D-values in accordance with European standards. Further, our towbars have the E certification mark. With this General Operating Licence an approval by a Technical Inspection Agency or registration is not necessary. Our towbars are suitable for bicycle carriers.

Bearing in mind the high technical and statutory requirements which apply to the rapidly advancing and changing automotive electronics, we also design and construct the suitable electrical kits for passenger cars, off-road and commercial vehicles. Here we focus on new technologies, such as Check-Control, LED, PDC and CAN-Bus and in this way, we can produce vehicle-specific complete solutions, which are quick and easy to fit.
